Am I Eligible?
To qualify for Coventry’s Local Grant Scheme, both the household and property must satisfy specific eligibility requirements. Applicants need to ensure their residence and personal circumstances align with the set standards. Detailed criteria for both household and property qualifications are outlined below, providing clear guidance for prospective applicants.


- Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D to G
- Privately owned (owner-occupied or privately rented)
- The scheme covers all fuel types, including homes on mains gas and off-grid homes using electricity, oil, coal, or LPG.
- Receive means-tested benefits
- Have a gross household income under £36,000
- Suffer with a medical condition aggravated by cold (e.g., asthma, high blood pressure)
- Live in a qualifying postcode (as defined by the grant)
- Properties with an EPC rating in bands A to C.
- New build or self-build homes that have not been previously occupied.
- Social housing (except for in-fill purposes, with specific conditions).
- Park homes that are not the permanent residence of the household or are expected to be demolished before the measure guarantee period ends.
